Trial Lawyer / Managing Member of the Firm
Richard A. Reinartz is a nationally recognized trial lawyer who has dedicated his career to protecting the rights of wrongfully injured individuals.
Prior to founding The Reinartz Law Firm, Richard worked for over a decade as a trial lawyer at two of the largest and most prominent law firms in the United States. In that capacity, he represented injured individuals in personal injury lawsuits, as well as insurance companies and Fortune 500 corporations in complex legal actions.
Having represented both plaintiffs and defendants in high-stakes multi-party litigation, Richard possesses a unique perspective of the litigation process. He knows firsthand how insurance companies and large corporations defend against claims brought by injured individuals and is able to use this information to navigate the complexities of the litigation process on behalf of claimants.
Richard is rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell, which is described as the “gold standard” in attorney ratings.
He is also listed in Best Lawyers, whose methodology is “based entirely on peer review” and “designed to capture, as accurately as possible, the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues within the same geographical area and legal practice area.”
Richard is a life member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum – an organization whose membership is exclusively limited to trial lawyers who have obtained settlements or judgments in excess of one million dollars and who maintain active membership in the organization and pay an annual due. Since 2010, Richard has been selected every year for inclusion in Super Lawyers – an independent listing of lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. This distinction is conferred on less than 5% of all licensed attorneys in the state.
Richard has also been named one of the “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” in New Jersey by The National Trial Lawyers, an “invitation-only organization composed of the premier trial lawyers from each state or region who meet stringent qualifications,” and who maintain active membership in the organization and pay an annual due. The Supreme Court of New Jersey appointed Richard to serve on its District V-A Ethics Committee, and Richard has also served on various committees of the New Jersey State Bar Association by appointment of the President of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
In addition to the above accolades, giving back to the community has been rewarding for Richard. He has provided pro bono legal services to the Newark Reentry Legal Services organization, which helps individuals with criminal records address civil legal matters that present barriers to successful community reintegration.
He has also provided pro bono legal services to the “Wills for Heroes” program, which provides estate and trust planning services completely free-of-charge to a variety of first responders, emergency medical technicians, and police and fire department personnel and their families. Richard has also dedicated significant time to the education of other attorneys and has lectured on various topics for continuing legal education programs.
Richard is licensed to practice in New Jersey and New York, in addition to various federal trial and appellate courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States. He is personally involved in the day-to-day handling of all cases handled by The Reinartz Law Firm, ensuring continuity of attorney work product and a comprehensive understanding of the facts, procedural history, and strategies unique to each case.
