Brain Injury Victim In Crash Caused By Drunk Driver Receives $995,000 Settlement

A retired police officer for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey accepted a $995,000 settlement for alleged brain, rib and internal injuries caused in a collision with a drunk driver in Rahway, NJ. The accident occurred when the Plaintiff was attempting to make a left turn onto Westfield Avenue and was hit by the drunk driver. Plaintiff alleged brain injuries, including cognitive problems, in addition to a fractured rib and lacerations to his liver, lung and spleen. The case settled before trial.
