A pedestrian who was injured by a car while crossing MLK Drive in Jersey City recently settled her New Jersey personal injury suit for $495,000. Plaintiff was leaving a bar where she had been drinking and attempted to cross the street from between two parked cars. Upon entering the street, she was hit by a car that was allegedly driving too fast for the rainy conditions, and caused to sustain fractures of her face and skull, in addition to a displaced fracture of her ankle that required surgical fixation. The case settled approximately one week prior to trial in the New Jersey Superior Court.
