Electrical Contractor Settles New Jersey Workplace Injury Lawsuit For $3.75 Million

An electrical contractor who was injured on the job recently settled his Monmouth County personal injury lawsuit for $3.75 million. The plaintiff injured his back while unloading a delivery of wire spools at a worksite. The hydraulic lift at the site was inoperable and the workers were required to manually unload the heavy materials from the truck. Plaintiff heard an audible pop sound in his back and collapsed. He was diagnosed with failed back syndrome and subsequently underwent three separate back fusion surgeries, in addition to implantation of a spinal cord stimulator and pain pump. The case settled during trial.
