Hudson County Motor Vehicle Accident Lawsuit Yields $3.65 Million Settlement

A plaintiff who sustained multi-level back injuries in an accident on Route 7 in Kearny, NJ recently settled his personal injury lawsuit for $3.65 million. The incident occurred when a tractor-trailer attempted to make a u-turn on the roadway, thus causing a traffic jam and subsequent multi-car accident. Plaintiff’s car was struck by a vehicle that was ejected from the opposite lane of traffic. Plaintiff sustained multiple cervical disc herniations which required internal fixation of vertebrae and bone. Defendants in the lawsuit included the driver of the tractor-trailer as well as the driver of the vehicle that made the first impact. The case settled during trial in the Hudson Superior Court.
