Plaintiff Rear-Ended on Garden State Parkway Settles Motor Vehicle Injury Lawsuit for $1.2 Million

A plaintiff who was rear-ended on the Garden State Parkway recently settled her personal injury lawsuit against the negligent driver for $1.2 million. Plaintiff was hit from behind on the aforementioned roadway by a car that was traveling faster than hers. As a result of the accident, plaintiff sustained lower back injuries requiring surgery, in addition to a closed head injury that resulted in cognitive deficits. The injuries have prevented plaintiff form returning to work as a manager at a supermarket. The case settled prior to trial after a meeting with a Superior Court judge. The settlement was paid by defendant's primary and excess insurance carriers.
