Monmouth County, NJ County Vehicle Accident Lawsuit Settles For $1.85 Million

A woman injured in a motor vehicle accident involving a Monmouth County senior citizen bus recently accepted $1.85 million to settle her lawsuit. The woman had been driving on Middle Road in Hazlet, NJ when the county vehicle pulled out in front of her from a stopped position at a cross-street. The injured plaintiff sustained multiple fractures to her right leg requiring various surgical procedures, including internal and external fixation of the bones. She also contracted infections during the healing process that required debridement surgery and is now permanently left with one leg longer than the other. The lawsuit settled shortly before it was set to go to trial in Monmouth County, New Jersey Superior Court.
