As the car approached Route 71 while on Union Lane in Brielle, NJ, a drop in the road caused the car to become airborne and strike a tree. Plaintiff sustained numerous injuries as a result of the crash, including back injuries requiring surgery, a traumatic brain injury requiring insertion of a drain, damage to his trachea, lungs and multiple fractures.
