An injured plaintiff in a Monmouth County automobile accident injury lawsuit recently settled his claims for $1.5 million. Plaintiff was a passenger in a sports car that was being driven at speed close to 100 miles per hour. As the car approached Route 71 while on Union Lane in Brielle, NJ, a drop in the road caused the car to become airborne and strike a tree. Plaintiff sustained numerous injuries as a result of the crash, including back injuries requiring surgery, a traumatic brain injury requiring insertion of a drain, damage to his trachea, lungs and multiple fractures. Plaintiff has been able to return to work as a landscaper only sporadically since the accident. The driver of the car had two liability insurance policies covering the accident, from which the settlement monies were paid.
